We continue to build business partnerships with Italy: on May 20, the Ukrainian-Italian webinar Ukraine 2025: Doing Business, Creating Partnerships took place

News

As part of the preparations for the fourth annual Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC), which will be hosted by Rome on July 10-11 this year, a Ukrainian-Italian webinar was held on May 20, bringing together more than 100 participants from both countries. Interest from Italian companies is enormous — the majority of participants represented Italian businesses and business associations.

The co-organizer on the Italian side was our partner, the Confederation of Italian Industry Confindustria. The event was attended by the Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine, Carlo Formosa Carlo, and on the Ukrainian side — Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Andrii Teliupa and Executive Director of UkraineInvest Oleksandr Melnychenko.

We presented our cooperation priorities to Italian and Ukrainian participants. The most important area is industrial cooperation and the creation of joint production facilities in Ukraine, where we already have successful examples such as Camozzi, Bondioli & Pavesi, Mazzotti, and others. These examples will be scaled up through projects of Ukrainian webinar participants, including LLC PC “Pozhmashyna”, LLC “Dniprometiz TAS”, LLC “Storozhuk”, WITEC INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT, LLC “TM TsKS”, PrJSC “VHP”, LLC “E.D. Cosmetics”, LLC “ATOM-Group”, LLC VP “Motorimpex”, LLC “Intercargotruck”, and others. Most of these companies are already actively developing cooperation with Italian partners, while the rest are planning to do so.

The participation of a representative of the Italian state investment bank Cassa Depositi e Prestiti was extremely important. Thanks to funding from international financial institutions such as the EIB, EBRD, and the World Bank, CDP finances projects of Italian businesses in Ukraine. Such financial support is crucial for the development of cooperation between Ukrainian and Italian companies amid the war and limited access to financial resources in Ukraine. Therefore, cooperation with Italian financial institutions — CDP, SIMEST, and SACE — remains a special focus of our attention.

URC 2025 will also serve as an important platform for promoting key FRU initiatives — the Industrial Ramstein and the results of a new study on the development of trade and economic cooperation with the EU in light of Ukraine’s acquisition of EU candidate status.

We continue active preparations for URC 2025 and invite everyone to join.
